We are hiring to cover the following position:

Title of Position: Assistant General Manager

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Lagos Type: Full-time

Description of Job

• We are looking for a Senior Executive who has the know-how to lead technical operations in a creative and dynamic setting.
• To manage our technological operations and support our ongoing development and success, the chosen applicant will be a professional with outstanding technical knowledge and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Operations Management:

• Oversee and lead the technical operations team, making sure that policy documents are accurate and that insurance and reinsurance placements are handled effectively.
• Oversee the risk assessment, claims processing, and underwriting processes.

Development of Businesses:

• Create plans to increase revenue by strengthening client ties and diversifying the business’s holdings.
• Own and meet or surpass sales goals

Development of Businesses:

Adherence to Regulations:

• Verify that all technical operations adhere to industry standards and legal obligations.
• Retain current understanding of laws, rules, and market developments.

Reporting:

• Create technical reports on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Team Building and Leadership:

• Encourage a culture of excellence and ongoing development by mentoring and advising team members.
• Put training initiatives into place to improve team productivity and expertise.

Requirements

• Candidates ought to hold a BA, B.Sc., or HND. An advantage is having a master’s degree.
• Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK or the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN)
• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of the business’s commercial aspects and an analytical approach to underwriting
• Outstanding abilities in reporting, presenting, and communicating
• Effective usage of the Microsoft Office suite, which includes Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ten years or more of relevant experience, at least five of which must have been spent in a senior technical or managerial capacity
• Strong ability to solve problems and make decisions
• Demonstrated aptitude at leading various teams and overseeing technical operations
