Job Title: Accounts Receivable and Fixed Asset Consultant
Location: Lagos Island
Job Type: Full-time (Hybrid)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Fixed Asset Consultant to manage and oversee financial accounts, revenue recognition, and fixed asset processes for our clients. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of accounting and finance, with a preference for experience within the IT, Real Estate, and Manufacturing sectors. This role requires expertise in accounts receivable management, fixed asset accounting, and familiarity with IFRS guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in revenue recognition.
- Perform fixed asset accounting, including tracking asset acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Prepare and present detailed financial analysis based on accounting data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS guidelines, especially in revenue recognition and fixed asset management.
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, QuickBooks, etc.) for reporting and reconciliation.
- Develop and implement best practices in revenue management and financial controls.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain high standards of integrity and ethics in all financial processes.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Assist in training and guiding junior team members when necessary.
Education Qualification & Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable and fixed asset management.
- Previous experience in IT, Real Estate, or Manufacturing sectors is highly preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, Sage, QuickBooks, ERP Next) is essential.
- Relevant professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or any other recognized professional accounting body is required
Competencies and Skills:
- Strong fundamental knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
- In-depth understanding of IFRS guidelines, especially related to revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to produce comprehensive financial analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- High ethical standards, with a strong sense of accountability and integrity.
- Ability to problem-solve and take ownership of financial tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
