SaintGermain Onwukeme is a Systems Engineering graduate whose passion for entrepreneurship was sparked during his days at King’s College, Lagos. With a remarkable balance between science and commercial aptitude, he began his entrepreneurial journey during university—particularly during strike periods—where he immersed himself in learning e-commerce and exploring Nigeria’s growing mobile market.
From his early ventures to leading Cybertron Ads, SaintGermain has consistently focused on bringing homegrown, Nigerian-focused innovation into the advertising sector, addressing a gap where foreign outsourcing has often failed to meet local market needs.
Cybertron Ads is a data-driven advertising company offering customer acquisition and brand optimization through programmatic advertising technology. From banners and video ads to rich media, retargeting, and programmatic Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising, Cybertron Ads is redefining how brands connect with their audience in Nigeria and beyond.
“We’re already making headway with Outwrld/dooh.ng — a programmatic OOH platform enabling fragmented purchase of digital OOH media and first-of-its-kind deployment analytics.”
“I’ve always been drawn to entrepreneurship. Even though I excelled in science, I consistently topped business and economics as well. I launched projects like Cashdown Nigeria, and over time—with grit, creativity, and hands-on learning—I’ve evolved into a more balanced and resilient entrepreneur.”
But it wasn’t always smooth. Data costs were high, power was inconsistent, and mentors were scarce. SaintGermain and his peers were part of Nigeria’s first generation of tech entrepreneurs, navigating uncharted terrain with little guidance.
“Lagos attracts some of the best talents in Nigeria. From developer communities to startup events, Lagos naturally became the hub for our tech journey. Companies often choose Lagos as their first touchpoint into Nigeria’s tech landscape, which gave us an edge.”
One of the biggest challenges SaintGermain faced was managing people.
“I realized that without people, scaling was impossible. I overcame this by simplifying communication and explaining the vision first. Once people understood the ‘why,’ it became easier to get the ‘what’ done.”
